Harbine Park, located south of West 8th Street, is a city park that offers various amenities such as two lighted, hard surface tennis courts, a fenced dog park, playground equipment, two sand volleyball courts, two baseball diamonds, a swimming pool, picnic shelter, 1/4 mile track with crushed rock, horseshoe pits for men and women, and public restrooms. Overnight camping is available with electric outlets, water, sewer, and charcoal grills. The park is surrounded by wildlife, including pheasant, quail, rabbit, duck, geese, turkey, deer, bobcat, coyote, and prairie dog. Nearby attractions include Lovewell Lake, which offers fishing, and Elk Creek Country Club, a nine-hole golf course. The Nelson swimming pool is also available for seasonal fees or daily admission.
