Privacy Policy

Last updated: March 30, 2026

1. Introduction

AllCampsAndParks ("we," "us," or "our") is operated by CampBookPro. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit allcampsandparks.com (the "Site"), how we use that information, and what choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

AllCampsAndParks is a free RV park and campground directory. We generate revenue through lead generation, affiliate links, and display advertising. We do not charge visitors to browse the directory or submit inquiries.

2. Information We Collect

2a. Information You Provide

Inquiry Form. When you submit an inquiry about a campground or park, we collect:

  • Your name (required)
  • Your email address (required)
  • Your phone number (optional)
  • Check-in and check-out dates (optional)
  • Party size (optional)
  • A message to the park (optional)

We also record your IP address and browser user agent string when you submit an inquiry. These are stored alongside the inquiry for fraud prevention and rate limiting.

Account Registration (Planned). If you create an account in the future, we may collect your name, email address, phone number, and a password or authentication token (such as through Google OAuth or magic link login).

Reviews (Planned). If you submit a review, we may collect the review text, star rating, and any photos you upload alongside your account information.

Listing Claims (Planned). If you are a park owner and claim a listing, we may collect verification documents, business contact details, and proof of ownership.

2b. Information Collected Automatically

When you browse the Site, we and our third-party partners automatically collect certain information:

  • Usage data: pages visited, referral URLs, time on page, search queries entered in the site search bar, and links clicked
  • Device data: browser type and version, operating system, screen resolution, and language preference
  • Network data: IP address and approximate geographic location (country or region level)

Search queries entered in the typeahead search bar are processed on our servers but are not stored in our database. Your IP address is used transiently for rate limiting (30 requests per minute) and is not persisted for search requests.

Park View Analytics (Planned). We may track page views on individual park listings using a one-way hash of your IP address, your referrer URL, and your browser user agent. The raw IP address would not be stored for page view analytics; only the irreversible hash is retained.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • Fulfill inquiries: When you submit an inquiry, we forward your contact details and message to the relevant park or campground via SMS and email so they can respond to you.
  • Operate and improve the Site: We analyze usage data to understand how visitors interact with the Site, fix bugs, and improve the user experience.
  • Prevent abuse: We use IP addresses and user agent strings for rate limiting and to detect spam or fraudulent inquiry submissions.
  • Analytics and reporting: We use analytics services to measure traffic, popular pages, and referral sources.
  • Advertising: We use advertising pixels to build audiences for ad campaigns on Facebook/Meta and Pinterest, and to measure ad performance.
  • Lead generation: Inquiry data may be used to generate qualified leads for CampBookPro's booking services and partner parks.

If we introduce accounts, booking, reviews, or payment processing, we will use account data to authenticate you, process transactions, display your reviews, and communicate with you about your activity on the Site.

4. How We Share Your Information

4a. With Parks and Campgrounds

When you submit an inquiry, we share your name, email address, phone number (if provided), requested dates, party size, and message with the park or campground you contacted. We deliver this information via SMS (through Twilio) and email (through Resend). Once delivered, the park becomes an independent controller of that data and its own privacy practices apply.

4b. With CampBookPro (Parent Company)

AllCampsAndParks is operated by CampBookPro. We may share aggregated, de-identified data with CampBookPro for analytics and business planning. We do not share your personal contact information with CampBookPro for independent marketing purposes without your consent.

4c. With Advertising and Analytics Partners

Our advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag) and Google Analytics collect browsing behavior, page views, and device data. These platforms may use this data for ad targeting and retargeting. Under certain state privacy laws (including the California Consumer Privacy Act), this data sharing may be classified as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. See Section 11 for your California rights.

4d. With Service Providers

We share data with third-party service providers that help us operate the Site. These providers act on our behalf and are contractually restricted from using your data for their own purposes. See Section 5 for a complete list.

4e. For Legal Reasons

We may disclose your information if required by law, subpoena, court order, or government request. We may also disclose it if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others; to investigate fraud; or to respond to a government request.

4f. Business Transfers

If CampBookPro or AllCampsAndParks is acquired, merged, or sells substantially all of its assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you via a prominent notice on the Site if your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

4g. Affiliate Programs (Planned)

The Site may contain affiliate links to outdoor gear retailers through programs such as AvantLink. When you click an affiliate link, the destination site may collect data about your visit under its own privacy policy. We do not send your personal information to affiliate partners; affiliate tracking occurs through URL parameters in standard HTTP requests.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services. Each service has its own privacy policy governing its use of data.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We use cookies set by third-party services for analytics and advertising. The following cookies may be placed when you visit the Site:

Analytics Cookies

  • _ga (Google Analytics) -Distinguishes unique visitors. Expires after 2 years.
  • _ga_* (Google Analytics) -Maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.

Strictly Necessary Cookies (Planned)

  • Supabase auth cookies - If we introduce user accounts, Supabase will set session cookies to keep you logged in. These cookies are necessary for authentication and cannot be disabled while using account features.

Cookie-Free Tracking

Plausible Analytics is our primary analytics service. Plausible does not use cookies, does not collect personal information, and is compliant with GDPR, CCPA, and PECR without requiring cookie consent.

Loading of Tracking Scripts

All tracking scripts (Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag) are loaded conditionally. They are only active when the corresponding service is configured in our environment. Each script loads after the page becomes interactive and does not block page rendering.

How to Manage Cookies

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. You can also opt out of specific advertising networks:

Blocking cookies may affect the functionality of some features on the Site, but will not prevent you from browsing park listings or submitting inquiries.

7. Do Not Track Signals

Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal with each HTTP request. There is no industry standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals. We do not currently alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals.

8. Data Retention

We retain data for the following periods:

  • Inquiry data (name, email, phone, message, IP address, user agent): Retained indefinitely to provide ongoing service to parks and to maintain records of communications. You may request deletion at any time (see Section 9).
  • Rate-limiting data (IP addresses used for search/inquiry rate limiting): Stored in server memory only. This data is not persisted and is cleared when the server restarts.
  • Analytics data: Retained by Google Analytics, Meta, and Pinterest according to their own retention policies. Plausible Analytics retains aggregated, non-personal data indefinitely.
  • Cookie expiration: See Section 6 for the lifespan of each cookie.

If we introduce user accounts, we will retain account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law or for legitimate business purposes (such as fraud prevention or resolving disputes).

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction: You may request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion: You may request that we delete your personal data. We will comply unless we have a legal obligation or legitimate need to retain it.
  • Portability: Where technically feasible, you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Opt-out of advertising data sharing: See Section 6 for opt-out links and Section 11 for California-specific rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@allcampsandparks.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request.

Note that once inquiry data has been delivered to a park via SMS or email, we cannot delete it from the park's own systems. You would need to contact the park directly for that.

10. Children's Privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us at privacy@allcampsandparks.com, and we will delete it promptly.

In compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), we do not knowingly collect, use, or disclose personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent.

11. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), gives you specific rights regarding your personal information.

  • Identifiers: name, email address, phone number, IP address
  • Internet or electronic network activity: browsing history on the Site, search queries, interactions with ads, referral URLs
  • Geolocation data: approximate location derived from IP address (country or region level)

Sale and Sharing of Personal Information

We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, our use of advertising pixels (Meta Pixel, Pinterest Tag, Google Analytics) may constitute "sharing" of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA/CPRA. The categories of information shared for this purpose include identifiers (IP address, cookie identifiers) and internet activity (pages visited, browsing behavior).
