Welcome to Waltons Campground, a cozy, family-owned and managed area located just minutes off exit 29 on I-64 in the beautiful, eastern end of Alleghany County. This campground offers seven rustic tent campsites and one additional site that can accommodate a small camper not exceeding 15ft in length. The campsites are equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern hangers for your convenience. The campground provides county furnished, potable water and a non-flush toilet. The nearby Sharon Park and public access to the pristine Cowpasture River offer opportunities for kayaking, fishing, and play. The campground is open for reservations, which can be made by calling 540-210-5521 or through their Facebook page. The campsites are limited to 8 persons and two tents, and the nightly rate is $20. The campground also offers firewood for purchase, with options available in bundles, bins, or by the bin.
