Upper Lehman Creek Campground is a scenic mountain campground located within Great Basin National Park at 7,500 feet elevation, three miles up the Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive. Nestled at the base of a limestone ridge in a diverse forest of pinyon and ponderosa pine, juniper, white fir, aspen, and fragrant mountain mahogany, the campground offers a classic camping experience with the soothing sounds of Lehman Creek and abundant shade. Visitors can expect to encounter wildlife such as mule deer and turkey, and may glimpse cutthroat trout in the creek. The location provides convenient access to numerous recreational opportunities, including the spectacular Wheeler Peak Scenic Drive, iconic bristlecone pine trails, Stella and Theresa Lakes, and the renowned Lehman Caves just 10 minutes away. The campground is also an excellent base for exploring high alpine trails into the heart of the Snake Range, fishing at Baker Lake, and enjoying the park's unique dark skies for astronomy programs during summer months.
