About
Town Creek Campsite is a free overnight campsite located near the C&O Canal National Historical Park. The campsite provides a portable toilet, picnic table, grill/fire ring, and water source. Please note that potable water may not be available at each campsite, and water is treated with iodine. The campsite is situated near the Town Creek Aqueduct, a 60-foot single span aqueduct completed in 1849. The towpath leaves Green Ridge behind here at Town Creek, and the campsite is approximately 2.7 miles away from the Potomac Forks Restroom and Campsite. Visitors can explore the nearby points of interest, including Lock 67, Potomac Fork, Lock 68, Lock 69, Lock 70, and Lockhouse 70.
