Sorrel Ridge Campground is a free overnight campsite located at mile 154.1 of the C&O Canal. The campsite provides a portable toilet, picnic table, grill/fire ring, and water source. Please note that potable water may not be available at each campsite, and water is treated with iodine. Water is turned off from November 15 to April 15 each year. The campground is near several locks, including Lock 62, Lock 63 1/3, Lock 64 2/3, Lock 66, and Lock 61. Visitors can also explore the nearby Paw Paw Tunnel and Tunnel Hill Trail. The C&O Canal National Historical Park's website provides detailed camping information, and site reservations can be made via the Recreation.gov website.
