Shady Point Beach & Campground is located in central MA, about 1 hour west of Boston, on a 354-acre lake called Lake Shirley in Lunenburg, MA. Families and private functions have been enjoying picnicking, barbecuing, volley ball, swimming, fishing, boating, or just lounging around at Shady Point for over 102 years. Shady Point Beach has been operated by the DeFazio family for over 54 years and now is run by their grandson Christopher. The beach has a public boat launch where you can bring your boat or jet ski for an additional cost. Private outings can be booked for your company, family, class reunion, wedding, birthday, or for whatever. Shady Point Beach offers a picnic pavilion, private swimming area, and a "carry in, carry out" policy. The beach is open for family picnics 7 days a week until September 30th. Shady Point Beach is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Shirley.
