Searsport Shores Ocean Campground is a family-owned oceanfront camping destination located on 40 wooded acres directly along Penobscot Bay in mid-coast Maine. For over 30 years, the owners have maintained a focus on simple camping, a friendly atmosphere, and creating a welcoming environment where guests feel at home. The campground offers RV sites, tent sites, and simple cabins with easy access to a unique cobblestone shoreline ideal for exploring tidepools, swimming, and hunting for sea glass. The accessible beach features no mudflats, undertows, or sudden drop-offs, making it family-friendly and wheelchair accessible at high tide. Beyond traditional camping, the property features art studios, a bandstand, a playground, and a garden kitchen that host seasonal events including art workshops, music performances, and shared meals. Located just off Route 1 near Belfast with easy access to Camden and Bar Harbor, the campground is recognized by major publications and has been voted "Best of the Best" for over twenty years.
