About
Bass Harbor Campground is a rustic family campground located in the heart of Acadia National Park on the quietside of Mount Desert Island in Maine. Situated just a half mile from the famous Bass Harbor Head Lighthouse and 2 miles from the Acadia Seawall, the campground offers 120 wooded and shady sites for tents, RVs, and pop-ups, along with eight cabins and three yurts. Visitors can enjoy mountains, woodland trails, spruce and birch forests, and the pounding surf of the Atlantic Ocean, all within a short walk or drive. The campground provides comprehensive amenities including hot showers, electric and water hookups, pull-through sites with 20, 30, and 50 amp options, a heated pool, playground, dog run, laundromat, camp store, and recreational facilities. The Windswept Acadia National Park setting features rugged headlands, tide pool critters, and various naturalist activities.
