About

Oliver Reservoir is a 917-acre property featuring a 264-acre lake, originally designed as an irrigation impoundment on Lodgepole Creek. It has helped feed irrigated crops, caught the waters of dangerous floods, and provided many recreational opportunities. The reservoir is located eight miles west of Kimball on Hwy. 30, and is a prime example of a Natural Resources District multi-function facility. The lake water is safe for full body contact activities such as swimming, wading, and jet skiing, with weekly samples taken for toxic blue-green algae and bacteria. The reservoir offers 48 campsites available for both tent camping and RVs/vehicles, with overnight camping being free but a $10 to $15 donation is highly appreciated. The reservoir is open from March 1 through October 31, weather permitting.
