Madrone Cove Boat-in Campground is located in the Tahoe National Forest, near Camptonville, California. The campground is situated on the shores of Bullards Bar Reservoir, a 4,760-acre lake with over 60 miles of shoreline. The reservoir is surrounded by conifer and hardwood forests, providing plenty of shade at the campsites. The area offers a range of recreational activities, including wildlife viewing, hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, and other water sports. The reservoir provides year-round fishing opportunities for both warm and cold water fish species. Visitors can access the campground by boat, with two developed and one undeveloped boat launch ramp available.
