Harold Parker State Forest is a located in Andover, Mass, only an hour north of Boston. With 35 miles of trails, 11 ponds, and dozens of campsites, there’s something in this Central Hardwood-Hemlock-White Pine forest for everyone. The Lorraine Park Campground offers 89 campsites for tents, trailers, or R.V.s. Visitors can enjoy hiking, camping, canoeing and kayaking, fishing, hunting, horseback riding, mountain biking, biking, ice skating, cross-country skiing, educational programs, boating (non-motorized), and swimming. The forest also has a pavilion, picnic areas, a playground, restrooms, showers, and trailer/R.V. dumping facilities. The forest is open from sunrise to sunset, and a daily parking fee is charged from May 24 through October 13.
