Black Bear Resort is a full-service campground and cabin rental facility located in Hampton, Northeast Tennessee, just 0.4 miles from the Dennis Cove Trailhead of the Appalachian Trail. The resort serves as an ideal home base for section hikers and vacationers, offering a variety of accommodations including cottages, rustic cabins, a bunkhouse, and RV/camping sites. The property features a breakfast cafe (opening April 1st, 2025) and an on-site general store. Black Bear Resort provides affordable shuttle services to various trail destinations, trailheads, and regional airports in Tri-Cities and Asheville, as well as short-term and long-term parking options. The resort is an Appalachian Trail Passport Stamp Location and welcomes group gatherings including family reunions, church groups, youth organizations, and weddings, with an event hall and amphitheater available for special occasions.
