Hurricane Creek Campground is situated along the beautiful Lake Barkley in southwestern Kentucky, offering a scenic retreat nestled in wooded, rolling hills. The campground provides 51 sites with water and electric hookups, including six walk-to sites, along with hot showers, laundry facilities, and a playground. Lake Barkley spans 57,900 acres with 1,004 miles of shoreline and offers comfortable water temperatures ideal for summer recreation. Visitors can enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including boating, fishing for catfish and trophy bass, hiking, biking, and wildlife viewing opportunities featuring white-tailed deer and raccoons. The area also provides access to the three-mile Lake Barkley State Park Trail and the Lyon County Museum, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and showcases the region's immigration history dating back to 1865.
