Shawnee Forest Campground is a newly developed full-service RV campground located in Vienna, Illinois, positioned as the gateway to the Shawnee National Forest and Shawnee Hills Wine Trail. The campground features 60 full hookup sites accommodating large motorhomes, travel trailers, toy haulers, and other RV types, with easy pull-through access and big rig-friendly layouts. Built on the grounds of a former golf course, the property offers 2 miles of walking paths, two large catch-and-release fishing ponds, private air-conditioned and heated shower houses, laundry facilities, and a pavilion suitable for group gatherings. Open year-round and catering to both overnight and extended stays, the campground is strategically located between St. Louis, Missouri and Nashville, Tennessee, providing convenient access to numerous regional attractions including state parks, hiking trails, and scenic natural areas.
