Welcome to Gold Pan Cabin Rentals, RV, Cafe, General Store Platoro Colorado. Located in South Central Colorado in the remote mountain town of Platoro, Colorado, elevation 9,870 ft. Founded in the late 1800's as a mining town, Platoro is a combination of the Spanish words for silver (Plata) and gold (Oro). A vacationer's paradise nestled in the Rio Grande National Forest and surrounded by the San Juan Wilderness. The park offers 5 Rental Cabins, 27 Full Hookup RV Sites (30 amp) and 4 Full Hookup RV Sites (50 amp). Corrals are available for an additional fee. The General Store/Gift Shop offers a variety of items, including T-shirts, gift items, tackle, and groceries.
