About

Located near Pendleton, Oregon, Emigrant Springs State Heritage Area preserves a site where people, including travelers on the Oregon Trail, have replenished water supplies since time immemorial. The park offers a refreshing place to camp in a mature forest between Pendleton and La Grande. Year-round camping is available, with all cabins and four sites open 365 days a year. The park features a range of accommodations, including 16 full hookup sites, one electrical site with water, 32 tent sites with water nearby, and six rustic log cabins that sleep up to five people. Visitors can also explore the nearby Oregon Trail wagon ruts, visit the National Historic Oregon Trail Interpretive Center, and enjoy hundreds of miles of trails in two national forests, Umatilla and Wallowa-Whitman. The park is open year-round for camping and day-use, with reservations required for most of the year.
