Lofers Bend East Campground is located on Whitney Lake on the Brazos River in Central Texas, offering 66 family campsites plus one group site. The campground features water and 30 amp electric hookups on most sites, with six non-electric water-only sites available. All sites include either a stand-up BBQ grill or ground cooker/fire ring. The park is situated on the lakeshore among rolling hills covered with cedar, live, and post oak trees, providing a scenic natural setting where deer are commonly spotted. Amenities include flush toilets, showers, a dump station, two boat ramps, and a playground. Popular activities include boating, fishing, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking, with opportunities to catch bass, crappie, and catfish. A fishing license is required for all anglers.
