About

Chester City Park Campground is located at the junction of Highways 8 and 81 next to the Kansas border. Historically, Chester is known as the birthplace of 6 man football and the “Little Town with the Big Heart” due to the events of the ‘Little Boy in Blue’. Each summer Chester hosts “[Chesterfest](https://www.chesterfest.us/)” which features a weekend of great music, food and fun – a celebration of the good life! In December, you will want to check the “[Christmas in Chester Light and Sound Show](http://www.we-r-here.com/christmas/)“, when the former school is lit up with 1,000’s of synchronized lights with great Christmas music. Today Chester is home to many businesses and a thriving agriculture industry. The campground offers water, electricity, flush toilets, fire grates, and drinking water. It is open from April to September and has a playground. For more information, you can call (402) 324-5755.
