Camp Serene is a quiet little spot just off US Highway 64/74A half way between Rutherfordton and Lake Lure, North Carolina. Nicely located in the high foothills of the Blue Ridge mountains, Camp Serene is located in a rural neighborhood with three separate RV camps. With loads of things to keep you busy, from boating on Lake Lure, hiking Chimney Rock, getting back to nature with a gentle walk to Pearson's Falls or enjoying our many wineries and breweries, Camp Serene is a private spot for a few days, a few weeks, a few months. The site has 30/50 amp electric, sewer, and water, and is snuggled up to 80 foot maple, hickory, poplar, and oak trees on 7 acres. It is conveniently located just a mile off US Hwy 64/74A, and is only a short scenic drive to Lake Lure, Chimney Rock, Asheville, or the many other must see spots in western North Carolina. The site has a 20x8 foot concrete pad for lounging chairs and a rock lined fire pit for those chilly nights. The rate includes electric, sewer, and water, four people, and extra friends or family is $3 per person per night. The site also allows up to two friendly pets, but asks that they be kept on a leash at all times when outside. The site has quiet time from 10 pm to 8 am, and because of the beautiful trees and forests, the fire pit should not be used if the wind is over 10 mph or if there is a burn ban in effect.
