Buckley Park Campground is one of Nebraska's most popular camping destinations, located in Stromsburg along Highway 81. Nestled between the confluence of the historic Big Blue River and Prairie Creek, the campground offers a natural setting with large shade trees and creek-side camping. The facility features twelve electrical pedestals with a mix of 50-amp, 30-amp, and 20-amp outlets, along with water hydrants and a sewer dump station. Beyond camping, Buckley Park is a comprehensive recreational facility offering three picnic pavilions, baseball and football fields, softball and soccer fields, basketball and tennis courts, a heated swimming pool, sand volleyball court, horseshoe pitching complex, and multiple playgrounds. The Two Parks Trail connects the campground to downtown Stromsburg's City Square, where visitors can access restaurants, grocery stores, pharmacy, library, and other businesses. The campground is busy year-round and attracts repeat visitors, including snowbirds traveling between north and south.
