Purchased in 1954 at the TVA auction, this family-owned resort is the only resort left on Kentucky Lake owned and operated by the original family. Bee Spring Lodge was a dream that came to fruition by W.C. and Dorothy Onnybecker. An avid hunter and fisherman, the married couple built a “fish camp” and raised their family. They worked from “sun-up to can’t”, as Bill Onnybecker would say. They built a dock, campground, four motel rooms, two cottages, and a restaurant that served the best breakfast and lunch on Kentucky Lake. The resort still offers camping for families and fishermen and boat space on our dock. Come experience and enjoy the quiet ambiance and natural surroundings for a relaxing, fun vacation on Kentucky Lake, the South’s Great Lake.
