Arkansas River Rim Campground & RV Park is nestled along the Arkansas River in Buena Vista, Colorado, in an area known as the 'Banana Belt of the Rockies.' It is the only park in the upper Arkansas River Valley situated directly adjacent to the Arkansas River, offering exclusive river access for kayakers and water enthusiasts. The family-owned and operated campground provides a full-service experience with bathrooms, firewood, ice, and grey water dump facilities. Located about 6 miles north of Buena Vista on Highway 24, the park serves as an ideal base for year-round outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, rafting, fishing, and skiing. All campsites feature fire pits and picnic tables backed against the forest, creating a natural atmosphere where visitors can enjoy wildlife viewing and outdoor dining. The area boasts spectacular weather with summer temperatures in the 70s and 80s, and Buena Vista offers fine restaurants, shops, and town activities.
