About
Mt. Hood National Forest offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including dispersed camping, biking, climbing, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, off-highway vehicles, water activities, and winter sports. The forest is home to several ranger districts, including the Barlow Ranger District, which encompasses about 280,000 acres. A valid Sno-Park Permit is required for parking November 1 to April 30 at almost all Mt. Hood sno-parks. Dispersed camping is a great way to enjoy the peace and solitude of the Forest.
