Yamcolo Reservoir Camp Ground is located in the Medicine Bow-Routt National Forests & Thunder Basin National Grassland. The camp ground is situated on the west side of the Routt National Forest, near the Elkhead Mountains. It offers various recreation opportunities, including dispersed camping, biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting & shooting, off-highway vehicles (OHV), picnicking, scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. The Flat Tops area, managed by the Yampa Ranger District, is also nearby. The camp ground is a great place to explore the natural beauty of Northern Colorado.
