Wupperman Campground is a county-owned public campground located on the east side of Lake San Cristobal in Hinsdale County. The campground features 31 sites with excellent views of the lake, accommodating various site lengths for ADA campsites, RVs, and tents. Sites are available on the lake or on the cliffs above. The campground host, Bruce Babcock, has information available about the campground and Hinsdale County. The campground is open for the summer on Memorial Day Weekend and closes the last week of September. Day use is permitted, and public fishing access to the lake is available. Amenities include water, trash removal, vault toilets, picnic tables, grills, and fire gates. No electricity is available, and visitors are asked to refrain from building additional fire rings. Rates are $20.00 per night, with an RV dump station available at the campground for a $20.00 dump fee.
