About
The Deschutes National Forest offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including horse riding and camping. The forest is conducting projects to improve access, sustainability, and safety to treasured places across Central Oregon, funded in part by the Great American Outdoors Act. Visitors can enjoy activities such as biking, climbing and caving, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, off-highway vehicles, picnicking, scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. The forest is open for public use, but some areas may be closed due to alerts and fire danger status.
