Western Maine Yurts began as a dream to create a glamping facility in Bethel, Maine. The goal was to provide a launching point for outdoors enthusiasts, artists, fly fisherman, skiers, snowboarders, and more to base their adventures from. Bethel is the gateway to the Western Mountains of Maine, offering close access to the White Mountain National Forest, Grafton Notch State Park, the Androscoggin River, Sunday River Ski Area, and Mt Abram Ski Area. The property is 7 minutes from Mt. Abram ski area and 15 minutes from Sunday River ski area. Downtown Bethel is only 2 miles away, offering a variety of options for dining, shops, and small town entertainment. Guests have access to the Androscoggin river for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and paddle boarding, as well as an expansive amount of trails for hiking, backpacking, and snowshoeing at Mahoosuc Land Trust, Bethel Community Forest, Grafton Notch State Park, Evans Notch, and other White Mountain National Forest parcels. Western Maine Yurts offers two villages of 8 private 24ft yurts with a beautiful bathhouse, each set amongst 128 acres of forest and wetland in Bethel, Maine. The yurts are accessed by private driveways and offer walking paths to and from the central bathhouse. The property is a great base for four-season recreation and offers a unique way to experience the beauty of Maine.
