The Chippewa National Forest offers a variety of recreation opportunities, including camping and cabins. The Blackduck Ranger District is located in the northwest part of the forest and provides access to Forest information, maps, and permits. The Cass Lake Area is home to the Chippewa National Forest Supervisor’s Office, which showcases the spirit of the Civilian Conservation Corps. Visitors can enjoy activities such as biking, fishing, hiking, horse riding and camping, hunting and shooting, off-highway vehicles, picnicking, scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. The forest also features scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. The Blackduck Area and Cass Lake Area are two of the recreation regions within the forest.
