West Fork Sports Club & Campground is nestled along the banks of the West Fork of the Kickapoo River in Vernon County, Wisconsin, spanning 19 acres with 3,500 feet of pristine stream frontage. Founded in 1966 and dedicated to cold water conservation since the late 1980s, it's known as "Fly Fishing Central" and "Trout Central" in the heart of the Driftless Area—a glacially untouched region home to over 300 trout streams. The campground offers camping spread along the river beneath shady trees with open fields for recreation, and features two named cabins (Brookie and Green). Visitors can enjoy fishing, hiking the nearby Kickapoo Valley Reserve, birding, biking, and stargazing, along with seasonal activities like mushroom foraging and apple picking. The area is rich with local attractions including Amish bakeries, farmers markets, and craft breweries, with the Mississippi River just 40 minutes away and major cities like La Crosse, Madison, and Minneapolis within 2-3 hours.
