Waubonsie Trail Park Campground is a 25-acre park in the heart of Cantril, Iowa. It offers a nature lover's dream with its 1-1/2 mile rock trail, one acre pond, and wooded, prairie, and wilderness areas. The park is filled with identified native trees, wild flowers, and small wildlife. Visitors can cross one of the three covered bridges or rest on one of the many park benches. The park hosts various events throughout the year, including a haunted trail, Easter egg hunt, Christmas light displays, and a wildflower tour. The campground offers modern camping facilities with 16 sites with electric and water hookups, two sites with sewer service, a rustic cabin, and a modern ADA cabin. The campground also features a shaded playground, shower house, and picnic shelters. Reservations can be made by calling 319-397-2193. The Dutchman's Store, located on Main Street, offers a shopping experience with fresh fruits and vegetables, bulk and canned foods, and other goods.
