Wateree Recreation Area is a 25-acre military recreation facility located in South Carolina's Olde English District near Camden, offering a diverse range of accommodations and activities for authorized DoD customers. The park features 16 cabins (11 two-bedroom, 4 three-bedroom, and 1 one-bedroom), 22 full-service RV sites with 20/30/50 amp electric service, water and sewer hookups, and tent camping options. Situated on a scenic peninsula, the facility provides seasonal lake swimming, fishing for catfish and bass, boat rentals including ski boats, pontoon boats, SUPs, canoes and kayaks, and a boat launch. Additional amenities include a 3,500-square-foot recreation hall with kitchen, playground, three covered picnic pavilions, public bathhouse, and picnic areas with grills. The park is designed for day visits or extended stays, with reservations available up to 120 days in advance for Shaw Air Force Base active-duty members.
