The Biology Field Station is a research facility operated by the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at the University of Tennessee. Located in Pittman Center, Tennessee, near Gatlinburg and adjacent to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, the station offers 18 acres of hillside land and facilities that can be reserved for field trips, field courses, teaching, research, retreats, and more. The station has three different accommodation options, including the Research Station, which consists of two houses with a separate laboratory building, and the Teaching Facility, which sleeps 28 people in bunks in open-air lean-to cabins. The station is available for use by tax-exempt organizations and offers a range of facilities and services to support scientific research and education.
