Up the Creek Campground is a tent-only, walk-in campground located just two blocks from downtown Moab's Main Street, offering a peaceful desert oasis in the heart of this adventure destination. The 16-site campground is nestled within a grove of large shade trees next to a cooling perennial stream, providing level sand and dirt campsites with natural landscaping. Established in 1989, the campground serves as an ideal base camp for exploring Arches and Canyonlands National Parks and accessing the world-famous Slick Rock Bike Trail, while remaining within easy walking distance of Moab's restaurants and shops. The property features a clean bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, outdoor dish washing sink, grilling stations, and recreational amenities including horseshoe pits and cornhole games. After sustaining significant damage from a 500-year flood in 2022, the campground has been rebuilt with a focus on sustainability and environmental friendliness while maintaining its character as a tranquil retreat in the high desert.
