Trout Lake State Forest Campground is a secluded, rustic campground offering 35 sites for tents and small trailers. Located within the Gladwin Field Trail Area and near House and Hoister lakes, the campground is split into three small loops. Visitors can enjoy excellent fishing, hiking, and other outdoor activities, with direct access to the scenic 2.8-mile Trout Lake Pathway. The campground is a neighbor to the House Lake State Forest Campground, and site 19 is a pull-through. The campground is located 17 miles north of Gladwin via M-18 N and Adams Road. It offers stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. The campground is open all year, but the campground and seasonal roads are not plowed.
