The park is near several plants like STP, Tenaris, Phillips 66, Chevron, Zachry, etc. It is located near the Matagorda County Museum, Le Tulle Park, and the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail for excellent bird watching, hiking, and scenic viewing. The Matagorda bay Nature Trail is another excellent spot for nature enthusiasts. Campers can also head to Sargent Shores for a fun day by the water, with plenty of sand and water for boating, fishing, and swimming. The area has excellent golf courses, shops, and restaurants for visitors to sample local crafts and cuisine, and even a market day on the third Saturday of each month. Amenities include big rig access, water, sewerage, Wi-Fi, and 30/50 amp sites.
