Located on the northern part of the White Mountain National Forest in New Hampshire and western Maine, the Androscoggin Ranger District offers a variety of recreational opportunities. The Pemigewasset Ranger District, located on the western portion of the Forest, also offers a range of activities. The Saco Ranger District, situated on the south eastern part of the forest, provides different recreational opportunities. The forest offers a range of activities including biking, climbing and caving, fishing, hiking, hunting and shooting, picnicking, scenic drives, water activities, and winter sports. Visitors can explore all opportunities and choose the one that suits them best.
