The Outpost Campsites in Gulf State Park are unique primitive campsites ideal for those who love to camp in the wilderness. Each of the four military-style tents is already set up for guests, with four cots inside, and includes firewood. The campsites have bathrooms and a shower on site for Outpost guests only. The Outpost has a sink that can be used to wash dishes and provide water, but the water is not guaranteed to be drinkable. The campsites are located 1.5 miles along the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, not on the beach, and do not have electric. Reservations can be made up to 1 year in advance with flexible pricing through the Plan Your Adventure Online portal. There is a 2 night minimum stay on all bookings during festivals, holidays, special events, and all weekends, and the maximum length of stay per site is 14 nights. Each outpost allows 4 people per site, with a maximum of 6 guests with an additional tent.
