The Black Lantern Resort & Campground is a family-run retreat nestled on 200 beautiful acres of forest in northern Minnesota, located about 25 minutes from both downtown Bemidji and Itasca State Park. The property features a tiny lake, forest trails, and two separate outdoor venues ideal for weddings and reunions. Guests can choose from three cabin options or RV/camping sites, and enjoy a variety of on-site activities including bonfires, gnome hunts, fishing, foraging, yard games, and playground facilities. The resort intentionally offers no WiFi, spotty cell reception, and no cable TV, encouraging visitors to disconnect and reconnect with loved ones through board games, nature walks, wildlife spotting, and other unplugged activities. With its resort garden, boat access, ATV-friendly trails, and starry night skies, the Black Lantern provides a peaceful escape designed for quality time and wholesome recreation.
