Texas Elks Camp provides children with special needs and children in foster care an opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime. Campers are encouraged to make their own decisions, become more independent and accept new challenges. The camp offers various activities such as nature walks, arts and crafts, cookouts, outdoor activities, weekly dances, petting zoo, tye-dye, fishing, archery, volleyball, basketball, and swimming. The camp is committed to the health and safety of its campers, with counselors having experience working with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The camp is open to children aged 7-21 who are residents of Texas, with no fee and acceptance on a first-come, first-served basis.
