The resort is named after a legendary cargo vessel, the M.V. Mokulii (originally christened South Shore #1 in 1925), which was moored at this location and operated as a restaurant before sinking. Today, Sugar Barge provides the area's finest RV park facilities along with boat rentals including fishing boats, patio boats, and kayaks through their Delta Boat Rentals division. The resort features a waterfront bar and grill restaurant, boat and RV dry storage with unlimited launching available seven days a week, and serves as a hub for water recreation and dining on the California Delta.
