The STEM Ranch Project is a vision of the Greater Hudson Valley Council to establish a fourth camp at Curtis S. Read Scout Reservation focusing on Skilled Trades, STEM, Maker Arts and Equestrian Studies. The camp will be comprised of buildings, labs, learning areas, pastures and trails within the camp. The equestrian area needs minimal upgrades. The STEM Ranch Headquarters allows the staff a place to plan and meet. A new camp shower house will be constructed with four individual locking shower rooms and a utility room with a washer/dryer area. The Sustainable Classroom will allow Scouts to see what an off the grid building is capable of, and the STEM Lab Building will be the focus of the STEM Area with 3 Labs that can be easily converted from classroom to hands-on learning.
