Springhill Campground and Pay Pit is a family-friendly campground located in Kokomo, Indiana, just 1.5 miles from Green Acres Golf Course and 10 minutes from downtown Kokomo. Established in 1965 and expanded in 2001 with a 6-acre pay pit lake, the campground is the only one in Howard County and operates seasonally from April through November. The facility offers diverse camping options including 85 seasonal sites, 9 full hookup sites for monthly stays, 12 pull-through sites, and several tent sites, all with water and electricity included. Visitors can enjoy catch-and-release fishing for catfish and bass, swimming in an in-ground pool (open Memorial Day through Labor Day), a large playground, and bean bag toss. The pay pit is regularly stocked with farm-raised channel catfish, flathead catfish, crappie, bluegill, and bass, with no state fishing license required. The campground features a bait shop with live bait, tackle, snacks, camping supplies, and clothing.
