About

Spirit Lakes Improvement Association is a non-profit organization founded in 1982 to improve and maintain the quality of both North Spirit and Spirit Lakes. The lakes are located seven miles northeast of Rib Lake, Wisconsin on HWY 102, about one hour northwest of Wausau. The organization's main areas of interest are Water Quality, Fish Population, Fish Habitat, Recreational Facilities, Improved Waterway Access, and Protection of Wildlife. The association has enjoyed excellent support from the DNR and local authorities, and has donated to various local organizations and charities, including the Rib Lake Fire Department, First Responders of Rib Lake, and Rib Lake School Student Scholarship in Natural Resources.
