South Arm Campground is nestled in Maine's Western Mountain Richardson Lake Region, offering a remote lakeside camping experience on beautiful Richardson Lake. The campground features 65 wooded RV and tent sites on a peninsula, with 50% directly on the lake and most others offering lake views, all set in a natural forest of spruce, hemlock, and birch. Additionally, the campground offers 38 wilderness lakeside and island tenting sites accessible only by canoe or boat. All main campground sites include electric and water hookups with 30 amp service. The property includes a 40-slip marina offering canoe, kayak, and motorboat rentals, along with clean restrooms, hot showers, and a laundromat. Visitors can enjoy activities such as fishing for salmon, trout, and togue, canoeing on the lake's quiet coves, hiking the nearby Appalachian Trail, and wildlife viewing including moose and deer.
