Slide Creek Campground is a scenic camping destination located on the east bank of Cougar Reservoir, just 50 miles from Eugene, Oregon, within Willamette National Forest. The campground features 15 campsites equipped with campfire rings and picnic tables, accommodating tents, trailers, and RVs. Guests enjoy excellent access to water activities including boating, water skiing, swimming, fishing for rainbow trout, and canoeing on the 1,280-acre reservoir. The area is also notable for its proximity to Terwilliger Hot Springs, featuring five natural soaking pools fed by the Rider Creek waterfall. The campground provides amenities such as drinking water, vault toilets, a boat ramp, swimming beach, and ample parking, with some sites offering views of Cougar Reservoir. The surrounding Willamette National Forest offers a large network of hiking trails in the Olallie Trail Area, with half open to biking, set amid diverse landscapes of high mountains, canyons, cascading streams, and wildlife including Roosevelt elk, black bears, and bald eagles.
