Sky High Ridge RV Campground is located in the western mountains of North Carolina, at an altitude of about 3700 feet. The campground offers a cool mountain air escape from the heat of the valley, with breathtaking views and sunsets. It is a base camp for adventure, with hiking, waterfalls, kayaking, winter and summer tubing, ice skating, and the largest Zipline in NC, all within National Forests and Parks. The Bartram Trail and the Appalachian Trail are also nearby. The campground has 7 RV sites, each with water, up to 100 amp electric, and waste hookup. It is recommended for the hardy, as getting to the campground is an adventure in itself. The roads are paved to a graveled driveway, but class A motor coaches and large toy haulers are not recommended due to mountain terrain driving. The campground is very isolated, and it is suggested that class C RVs bring or rent a vehicle, as parking can be limited during the tourist season. Sky High Ridge RV Campground is a great spot for those looking to relax in a secluded, natural setting and enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountains.
