Ski-kwe zaag'igan (Squaw Lake) State Forest Campground

This beautiful, rustic campground is on the shore of Ski-Kwe zaag'igan Lake and is known for great year-round fishing. The campground is a 'carry-in, carry-out,' which means there are no trash barrels provided, so please plan trash removal accordingly. The campground is located 15 miles southwest of Republic via M-95 South. These rustic campgrounds offer stunning river and lakefront settings, perfect for fishing, boating, and paddling. Camping is limited to a 15-day maximum stay, and one camping unit and six people are allowed per site. A Recreation Passport (park pass) is required for vehicle entry into all state park and forest campgrounds. The campground provides access to state land open to hunting, and the operation of an ORV between the campground and nearby trails is allowed. There is a boat access site on Ski-Kwe zaag'igan Lake, and Rainbow trout, splake, bluegill, perch, and bass are caught in the lake.
