Sherman R Cook Memorial Scout Park, also known as Cook Woods, is a great group of Scouts and adult leaders dedicated to serving the youth in their community. The park is comprised of two troops in Plano IL; the boys' troop started in 1965 and the girls' troop in 2024. Both troops are sponsored by the Plano Rotary Club. The members of the Troops take great pride in serving their community for over 60 years. They meet year-round and participate in various outdoor activities like camping, hiking, kayaking, mountain biking, and more. The park provides fun, enriching experiences that teach life skills in a physically and emotionally safe and inclusive environment.
