Sheppard Recreation Annex is a military recreation facility located 110 miles east of Sheppard Air Force Base on the shores of picturesque Lake Texoma in Whitesboro, Texas. The annex offers a variety of outdoor recreation options including 46 cabins that sleep 4-6 persons (plus one cabin sleeping 8), each equipped with modern amenities such as refrigerators, televisions, microwaves, full bathrooms, air conditioning, and covered patios with grills. The facility features 25 full hookup RV sites and 16 water and electric only hookup sites, along with 30 primitive campsites. On-site amenities include laundry and bath facilities, a seasonal snack bar, convenience store, fitness center, basketball and volleyball courts, and walking/hiking trails. Visitors can enjoy fishing, boating, and relaxation in a scenic lakeside setting.
